---------------------
Pamela Britton White to ElenaWhite: Cannot see the powerpoint he is referencing. Is that intentional?

---------------------
Pamela Britton White to ElenaWhite: never mind -- steve showed me

---------------------
Moderator (ElenaWhite) to Pamela Britton White: It should be on your "white board" on your elluminate - change the size of your windows

---------------------
Moderator (ElenaWhite) to Pamela Britton White: right now the slide is pie chart with "our objective" do you see it?

---------------------
Pamela Britton White to ElenaWhite: yes

---------------------
Melody Dworak: Is the PowerPoint available for download?

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): We are hoping to post it to the wiki following the session as long as we get permission from the speakers

---------------------
Melody Dworak: Great. Thank you.

---------------------
Eric Martin to Uday Joshi: It would be helpful to have the names of the in-person participants listed somewhere.

---------------------
Moderator (Uday Joshi) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: I think its better if people speak at Bill's pace

---------------------
Moderator (Uday Joshi) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: for the transmission

---------------------
KirstinMcCarthy: Is the case study mentioned at the begining of the presentation available on the wiki?

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): yes it is...you will find a link to it off the virtual class session page

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): the case can be found here: http://www.barrfoundation.org/resources/resources_show.htm?doc_id=239289

---------------------
KirstinMcCarthy: Great, got it. Thanks!

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): LCW website: http://www.lcworks.org/default.aspx

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): If anybody has questions or comments, feel free to share through the chat or use the hand raising functionality located under the participant window

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): If you have a microphone and would like to speak to the class, let us know

---------------------
Moderator (Mariam Chughtai) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: you want me to monitor/manage some other part now that we're not changing slides?

---------------------
Moderator (Mariam Chughtai) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: i'll keep an eye on hand raising by virtual participants

---------------------
Moderator (ElenaWhite) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: great. I'll keep an eye on the chat - along with others I assume.

---------------------
Moderator (Karen) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: interpretive dance, Miriam?

---------------------
Moderator (Mariam Chughtai) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: any way to maximize participants window?

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: Tools - layout locked

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: then you can change the window sizes

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: sorry...View - Layouts locked

---------------------
Moderator (Mariam Chughtai) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: perfect. thanks!

---------------------
Eric Martin: What is the name of the gentleman speaking now?

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): Uday...he is behind the camera

---------------------
Moderator (Mariam Chughtai) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: there is a sign by LInda's mic?

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: that just means her audio signal is a bit behind

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: probably a slower connection

---------------------
Moderator (Mariam Chughtai) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: oh ok

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: if somebody tried to talk there mic would be highlighted in yellow like mine, but right now, only one mic can be open at a time

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: we will change that if anybody wants to talk

---------------------
David Pearson: I would like to offer the following re: 3rd bullet "way of doing business" recently a party provided the following http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business-education_partnerships re establishment of partnership in connection with establishment of partnership in conjunction with a start up network. I noted that the party provided no specific info re if such interdependency was transactional or transformative. If the proposed partner does not provide such info it appears one might have to determine how much energy they can put into development of such.

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): Hi David...do you have a mic, and would you like to share with the group?

---------------------
Moderator (Mariam Chughtai) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: i wonder if we can read their question aloud if they don't have a mic

---------------------
KirstinMcCarthy: Observation/Question (albeit a bit late ): Given the grassroots nature of the LCW, and the active involvement of members, what are the relationships between and among any more formal structures (local government) within the community?

---------------------
David Pearson: I do have a mic. I also would like to know if anyone has heard of a CRO Chief Relationship Officer posiition that deals with such issues. I don't mind sharing.

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): I'll see if we can cue you up next...just remember to hit the mic button to start talking

---------------------
David Pearson: i also have video

---------------------
KirstinMcCarthy: Thanks!

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): thats better

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): go ahead

---------------------
David Pearson: i did but mic

---------------------
David Pearson: no i dont think we should try

---------------------
David Pearson: thanks

---------------------
David Pearson: what about CRO

---------------------
Moderator (Mariam Chughtai) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: he asked a second question about CRO.. i'll ask that next

---------------------
David Pearson: * Consultative partnerships are setup for the purpose of receiving public input around change or to gather ideas for future policies.
    * Contributory partnerships are formed to benefit a specific organization or the community more generally.
    * Operational partnerships are work-sharing arrangements in which the components of a given task are delegated to specific parties.
    * Collaborative partnerships are set up to share resources, risks and decision-making.

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): thanks David

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): sorry about the mic issue

---------------------
David Pearson: no problem lets talk later

---------------------
David Pearson: my email is dpearson@shawmuteducation.org

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): great...we will follow up with you prior to the next session

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): To anybody that joined the session late, feel free to add questions and comments to the chat conversation and we will do our best to integrate them into the face to face discussion

---------------------
Moderator (Mariam Chughtai) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: did you change the slide on purpose?

---------------------
David Pearson: Hi Gina No need to bother the group with this. I thiink i know the problem with te audio. Right now my mic is in my webcam (video) I think it migt be that since my elluminate audi settings are set for te camera it takes a while for that to work given it appears that you have video turned off. Thus what would have to happen is not only the enablement of audio but the enablement of video for that participant. Perhaps that happened and I simply did not notice.

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): AS220 web site:http://www.as220.org/front/

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): sorry: http://www.as220.org/front/

---------------------
David Pearson: for the group I suggestthat the tools are there and are represented in the marraige of Content Management Systems (CMS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS)

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino) to David Pearson: Hey David...that sounds about right. If you run through the audio set up under the tools menu, it may let you choose which source to send the audio through. However, if your mic and speakers are both built in, they might conflict with one another

---------------------
Andrea Nagel: thanks for increasing sound!

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): we have varied voice strengths

---------------------
Andrea Nagel: yep...I understand.

---------------------
Isaac Quist: Struggling a bit with the volume level right now, I think ...

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino) to Isaac Quist: is that better Isaac?

---------------------
Isaac Quist: Yes, Gino; many thanks!

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino) to Isaac Quist: thank you for the feedback...we are learning as we go here!

---------------------
David Pearson: For people participating virtually If you have a woofer turn it down and the sound is better

---------------------
Isaac Quist: Big learning curve for me too ... very 1st experience of this mode

---------------------
David Pearson: Te cultural problem that I see in the CMS LMS marraige is that those leaders involved in the nuptials are not including the necessary educational individuals in the planning

---------------------
Linda Guinee to Andrea Nagel: I'm finding that the format is REALLY not so great - good thing to learn!

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino) to Linda Guinee: Hi Linda...which format are you referring to?

---------------------
christosphere: Gino, is it necessary to upload Java in order to activate Elluminate? I have a user on fb who couldn't activate the interaction...

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): Hi chris...a java plug in is required, but Elluminate usually promtps you for the installation

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): if you friend goes to this link, he can download the needed plug in:

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): http://www.elluminate.com/support

---------------------
Isaac Quist: interesting ... i couldn't join the group on fb despite several tries

---------------------
Moderator (Uday Joshi) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: we should end on time

---------------------
christosphere: that's what I thought. I'll have her try the link. Thanks

---------------------
christosphere: Isaac, I'll invite you.

---------------------
Andrea Nagel to Linda Guinee: yes.....it's all good learning on many fronts

---------------------
Isaac Quist: that would be great, many thanks!

---------------------
David Pearson: Gina my pref are set correctly I simply think it takes a little extra time when ones mic is coming from the video source that is not turned on. I do have headphones and should I wish to request to speak I will set to those next time

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): sounds good

---------------------
Moderator (Mariam Chughtai) to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: i think David is confusing me and Gino to be the same person Gino responds to him on chat but a woman reads his questions aloud.

---------------------
Angela McGuire to Uday Joshi: What type of camera are you using?

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino) to Angela McGuire: Hi Angela...we are using an external camcorder (Canon GL2) connected to a Mac Book to provide the video feed

---------------------
Angela McGuire to Uday Joshi: Thanks. I just purchased a camera for our project and hope to use for similar meetings.

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino) to Angela McGuire: it connects via firewire and the quality is better than most web cams

---------------------
Linda Guinee: Am finding the audio pretty difficult to understand/hear - and some real technological hurdles (needing right equipment, etc. to participate). Good to learn!

---------------------
christosphere: Isaac, does your fb page have a picture or a graphic?

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): If any virtual guests would like to hang around, I'd be happy to address any technical questions that came up and hear some of your feedback on the session

---------------------
Andrea Nagel to Linda Guinee: Makes me wonder what the level of satisfaction was for both LCW and for webinar participants?

---------------------
Andrea Nagel to Linda Guinee: Are you interested in providing any feedback now?

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): yes

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): gimme a second and I'll be able to communicate with everyone

---------------------
Pamela Britton White to ElenaWhite: very interesting. Great job moderators/tech types.

---------------------
David Pearson: ok

---------------------
Angela McGuire: Elluminate seems to work much better than some other applications I've interacted with. This was very interesting, from a producers point of view.

---------------------
obee to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: I was intrigued by the software, too.

---------------------
Angela McGuire: Was there some reason you chose not to mic the presenters?

---------------------
obee to Karen, Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: in terms of content, next week's meeting is more appropriate for my work.

---------------------
Isaac Quist: Is some of the variability we experienced simply a result of participants not always speaking into their mics?

---------------------
Angela McGuire: Thanks. Sound was better than I'd thought it could have been, but not perfect.

---------------------
Linda Guinee: Probably depends on what kind of speakers we have too - I've just got my laptop speakers, sounded fairly muffled. This is much better with you speaking directly into a mic

---------------------
Angela McGuire: There also doesn't seem to be too much of a time lag, which was great. Why was that?

---------------------
Melody Dworak: Are these sessions recorded to make podcasts from at a later date?

---------------------
Andrea Nagel: there's a lot of background noise, David.

---------------------
Linda Guinee: Same

---------------------
Andrea Nagel: nopre

---------------------
Angela McGuire: Sounds like you're in a submarine.

---------------------
Andrea Nagel: sorry

---------------------
Angela McGuire: The video quality was very decent. Thanks to Uday for responding to my questions during the session!

---------------------
Qaadirah Abdur-Rahim: This was a great session. Is it better to leave questions/ comments on the wiki or fb page?

---------------------
Isaac Quist: would we have access to the follow up session after recess?

---------------------
Andrea Nagel: I was curious about the design of the session...what was the thiinking behind having the recommendations followed by the observations without having LCW respond to those initial questions?

---------------------
Linda Guinee: Might be great to project the chat for the people in the room so that if we can't speak (don't have equipment). Might make those of us virtually participating more participants.

---------------------
Isaac Quist: I meant after the coffee break - sorry?

---------------------
Andrea Nagel: OK

---------------------
David Pearson: Andrea i think you can control that by use of the 3rd button on the toolbar

---------------------
Linda Guinee: Thanks

---------------------
Isaac Quist: Thanks

---------------------
David Pearson: it controls how your window looks

---------------------
Melody Dworak: What is the direct link to the wiki?

---------------------
Melody Dworak: Great, thank you.

---------------------
David Pearson: you first must join www.wikispaces.com

---------------------
Moderator (Gino Beniamino): http://networkleadershipskills.wikispaces.com/

---------------------
David Pearson: after you have done that you must then join the group

---------------------
Melody Dworak: Perfect. Thank you. I must have missed a step.

---------------------
Qaadirah Abdur-Rahim: Where are the discussion threads on the wiki page?

---------------------
Andrea Nagel: Thank you Gino for your moderation!

---------------------
David Pearson: the facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=81951131264 if interested

---------------------
Angela McGuire: Will there be a reminder sent out for next weeks session? Or do I have to remember it on my own?

---------------------
Angela McGuire: THANK YOU!

---------------------
Linda Guinee: Thanks Gino

---------------------
David Pearson: Thanks

---------------------
Qaadirah Abdur-Rahim: Thanks Gino

---------------------
Isaac Quist: Thank you, Gino! Well done!

---------------------
Pamela Britton White to Uday Joshi, Gino Beniamino, ElenaWhite, Mariam Chughtai: thanks!
